When the music ends,
And the lights slowly fill the room,
We're left with something far, far more macabre,
Than anything we hid behind masks, When darkness was in the air.
Makeup fades, and costumes droop- The flaws obscured in the darkness,
Hidden behind music and revelry, become apparent under the rising sun.
We're all the same, of course. But everything we hid,
Our sorrows, our secrets, hidden beneath a veil of darkness and-
